Sarrancolin

Romanesque St. Ebons church was built between the eleventh and the twelfth century and is now the subject of a classification as historical building. Formerly dependent priory monastic buildings were set on fire in the second half of the sixteenth century, it now reveals its visitors a decorated choir fifteenth century and a square tower steeple of over thirty meters high. Inside, seduced by an exceptional furniture including the Renaissance stalls or the shrine of St. Ebons thirteenth century entirely of copper and champlevé enamels.

Walking through the village you can also visit the Chapel of Esplantats a beautiful building religious tenth century completely rebuilt in the late nineteenth century, and St. Quiteria door that takes place south of the town. Listed historical monument, the tower of the sixteenth century is the only remnant of the ancient fortifications that protected the city Sarrancolin until the eighteenth century.

Several marked hiking trails allow visitors to discover the architectural and natural heritage of the town and its surroundings.

The market is held every Tuesday and Saturday morning.

The feast of St. Ebons takes place every year between late August and early September. In the event program, free balls, bowls tournaments and football, children's shows and many other family entertainment.
