17th century mansion located in the commune of Samoëns, in the Haute-Savoie department, the Bérouze castle stands in front of a chapel dedicated to Saint Paul and Saint Pierre. Built next to a square tower of the 15th century by a prince's farmer, the building later housed a school.
Since the late 1990s, the castle of Bérouze is being restored by a couple of New Zealanders wanting to restore its former glory. You can still admire this building covered with a high roof with slate four sides.
