Things to see and do

Strolling the streets of Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire admire some noble houses before exploring the beautiful castle Chassay. Built in the sixteenth century on the site of a former building of the sixth century, it once served as a residence for bishops of Nantes. Sold as national property during the late eighteenth century it was bought by the town in the 1970s to house city hall. It was a few years later expansion to accommodate the new services of the Town Hall. The original building is a fine example of Italian Renaissance architecture.

Inaugurated in the second half of the nineteenth century, the church Saint Lucia reveals a Romanesque style architecture. She has the distinction of not owning arrow and it therefore has a tiled roof. Inside, the stained glass windows of the late nineteenth century reveal the main St. Lucy's life elements.

The town has a large number of castles and manor houses to enjoy the time of a walk on site like La Haie who had the honor of hosting Cardinal Richelieu in 1626, the Grand Plessis, from Perrier rebuilt in the late eighteenth century or Linot. This reveals an interesting neo-Gothic style.

Scattered in the old center, there also remain some remnants of the past of the town including the house Auvigne fifteenth century or the house of the Massonnerie now home to the rectory.

Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire is also appreciated for its rich natural heritage, especially on the banks of the Loire. Difficult to escape the charm of the island that Clementine has several trails to walk and picnic areas and a playground for children. The pond du Plessis is also furnished and offers a pleasant setting for family outings.
