Things to see and do

Classified as Historic Monuments, the church Sainte-Léocadie was built in the twelfth century. It is a Romanesque style with a beautiful altarpiece and simple, traditional architecture.

The Cal Mateu farm, now listed as a Historic Monument, is now home to the Cerdanya Museum. Dedicated to ethnology and history since 1997, it presents the different facets of this region through everyday objects, testimonies of inhabitants or pedagogical workshops. It is housed in a traditional 17th-century farm with an enclosed courtyard. An extension, the Bergerie, has been added. Every year in summer, the site is the venue for an auction of wines from the highest vineyard in Europe.

Outdoor enthusiasts can head for the forest for a picnic or a hike. The town is also crossed by the marked hiking trail GR 36.

Sainte-Léocadie is crossed by the railway track of the little yellow train, a famous tourist train of the Pyrenees.
