Castle of the Poivrière

Included in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments in 1978 for the façades and roofs, castle Pepper stands on a slight eminence (site of an ancient feudal mound) of the plain crossed by the Allier. When we get close to the property, we see, emerging through the foliage, the mass of its roofs of varying heights, covered in small red tiles flat characteristics of Bourbonnais. It is surrounded by a park of two hectares. The castle contains no period furniture, is not currently open to the public.
