Things to see and do

Saint-Rémy knows a natural heritage of great beauty, because of its proximity to some of the most beautiful Poitou-Charentes sites. Some interesting monuments can be admired.

Saint-Rémy The main tourist attraction of its towers are now in a visible private property from the street. This is a gatehouse dating from the thirteenth century, with two towers and a doorway. This is the last vestige of a monumental castle that was once occupied by a garrison. Both towers have been put forward by a French writer of science fiction in his book The black Tours.

Saint-Rémy also has a beautiful church partly built in the twelfth century and which has been listed historical monument.

Walking through the town, it is also possible to discover La Courneuve, a very nice house fifteenth century listed historical monument, as well as the House of the Plain, an old donkey farm that serves today Municipal Hall Versatile to the municipality.

Events and festivities

Small in size, the town of Saint-Rémy do not know least a few interesting and entertaining events.

In May, Saint-Rémy welcomes Plain festival, a popular garage sale where you can do good business.

Also in May, the town hosts Campagn'Arts in partnership with Sciecq. On this occasion, several events are organized such as exhibitions, competitions painters or photography, a garage sale, live music, artist demonstrations or performances of all kinds.
