Small vineyard town in southern Burgundy, nearly 370 residents, located 12 km west of Chalon-sur-Saône and integrated with the municipalities of Greater Chalon community. The village, surrounded by vineyards mainly Mercurey appellation (9 wineries), is located on the Wine Route of the Cote Chalonnaise.
Montaigu Castle, which overlooks the village is in ruins for a long time, but its wall, tower and interior walls recently restored yet possible to get an idea of the size of the site.
The village also features nine cross and two wash.
