The small town of Saint-Marcel-lès-Annonay takes place in the Ardèche department. Located about ten kilometers from the town of Annonay, it is installed on that was once called the Blue Route.

Very old village, Saint-Marcel-lès-Annonay probably existed since the ninth or tenth century in its present form. Former stronghold of paper mill plants, industry recognized for centuries in the region, the town is now turned rather Residential.

Things to see and do

Built in the late nineteenth century, the Saint-Marcel church reveals a beautiful neo-Gothic style.

Lake Ternay, 1,300 meters long, is surely the most beautiful location of the village of Saint-Marcel-lès-Annonay. It was once used to power the factories of the town and the inhabitants with drinking water. The place is popular with fishermen and sportsmen who like to settle on its edges. The lake, for reasons of safety, is forbidden to swim. We can admire some beautiful cedars of Lebanon and Sequoias centuries old.

Events and festivities

In April, the village hosts a lounge Creative Arts and recreation.

The book fair is installed every year in May.

In early July, the village party can admire a fireworks display and enjoy many activities.

The gourmet area, popular with gastronomes, is held in September.

The outdoor quad bike enduro is a car race that takes place in October, as the aftermath of Undergrowth, a foot race.

In December, the festive illuminations is the opportunity to admire the village to light.
