Golf Vire Dathée is located on the village of Saint-Manvieu-Bocage, now part of the municipality of Noues de Sienne, a few kilometers west of Vire.
It was founded in the early 1980s by passionate volunteers first as a practice occasionally transformed into small course of 5 holes. In 1986 was realized a compact course of 6 holes, and three additional holes were built in 1989.
The current course was designed by Yves Bureau in 1991 with the completion of 9 additional holes on thirty hectares on Lake Dathée.
Fans now have 18 holes ("71") along 5.6 km long has quickly gained the reputation of being demanding because of its hilly layout requesting technical real obstacles water adding to the charm as the difficulties of the site.
Areas dedicated to training and a clubhouse complete the facilities.
