Lighthouse of the Cap Cépet

Monument in Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer

Fourteen-meter-high square concrete tower accompanied by a main building, the Cap Cépet lighthouse was erected in the 1950s about a hundred meters from a first 19th century lighthouse.

Automated in the 1970s, the Cap Cépet lighthouse takes place in the town of Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer, in the Var. It comes in a stepped form in masonry. Its old optic, withdrawn, is now visible at the Toulon Marine Museum. Recently restored, the lighthouse is now used as a landmark, a fixed point of reference used in maritime navigation, by the French Navy.
