The Rochebonne lighthouse is located at Saint-Malo, on a high point of the Lévy district which dominates the beach of Minihic, in the east of the city, on the territory of the former municipality of Paramé.
It is one of the four lighthouses of the city.
Put into service in 1868, the Rochebonne lighthouse, sometimes called "Haize lighthouse", is formed by a square tower, part of which is painted red and black.
Electrified in 1929, it was partially destroyed in 1944 after the D-Day and was rebuilt in 1948.
Adjoining a corps de logis dedicated to the personnel, the lighthouse high of 19 m and overlooking the level of the sea of 39 m is automated from 1975 and is no longer "guarded" since.
Its range is 24 nautical miles (44 km).
The Rochebonne lighthouse can not be visited, but its proud silhouette can mark a walk by the sea. Information 08 25 135 200.
