It is surrounded by rivers, to the south by the Druance, to the west by the stream Roucamps, and to the east the Creek des Vaux. Tortonne Creek crosses it from east to west.
The inhabitants are Saint-Jeannais.
Saint-Vigor-des-Mezerets:
The origin of the name comes from Saint Vigor, one of the first bishops of Bayeux in the fourth century. See the city of Saint-Vigor-le-Grand near Bayeux, where the Episcopal See of Saint Vigor is located.
Mezerets comes from the Latin meseretis meaning "old mansions".
The inhabitants are the Saint-Vigoriens and the Saint-Vigoriennes.
