Near the estuary in the middle of vineyards, Saint-Dizant-du-Gua is a lovely village to live that has its roots in antiquity. A bishop of the town of Saintes named St. Dicentius the 4th century gave him his name.
St. Dizant is famous for its castle, Fountain Blue, a listed church and especially for its famous wines: Pineau and Cognac exceptional.
