Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or

Area attractions abound in Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or which is of great historical and architectural interest.

Built in the late nineteenth century, the new church Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or reveals a beautiful neo-Gothic style.

The religious heritage is very present in the town, with also the Romanesque church of the Castle of Saint-Cyr, and the chapel of the Hermitage. Located in Mont Cindre, it dates from the fourteenth century.

One can still see in the city the ruins of the ancient Roman aqueduct Mont-d'Or. There is in particular the sedimentation basin.

Dating from the twelfth century, the keep of the castle of Saint-Cyr still stands proudly. The latter was registered historic monument in the early twentieth century. Another tower was still visible in the early nineteenth century.

The market takes place all year, Saturday morning.
