Situated about twenty kilometers from Saint-Étienne, Saint-Cyprien is a commune of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes located in the department of Loire. Limitrophe of Andrézieux-Bouthéon, it takes place in the heart of the plain of Forez.
Populated since the Gallo-Roman era, the commune of Saint-Cyprien would still have a hamlet in the name of Gallic origin. But the village as such exists only since the tenth century when the King of Burgundy granted a charter to the abbot of the monastery of Barbe Island. Mainly focused on livestock and agriculture, Saint-Cyprien also unveils exceptional landscapes accessible by marked hiking, walking or mountain biking.
Today, Saint-Cyprien is especially appreciated for its calm and its geographical proximity with Saint-Étienne and its tourist sites to discover the time of a few days of holidays.
