Located not far from the Malouinière de la Grande Gâtinais, the Malouinière des Courtils-Launay is an 18th century building listed as a Historic Monument. Installed in the town of Saint-Coulomb, in Ille-et-Vilaine, it was originally owned by privateer Jean de Launay known for having campaigned on the seas of South America with Pierre Perrée du Coudray de la Villestreux.
Inside, it reveals a beautiful Berain-style oak staircase and nestles in the middle of a magnificent green setting separated into two levels by a low wall.
Not accessible to the public, it presents an architecture typical of this type of building.
