The Saint-Chaffrey church is located in the municipality of the same name, in the Hautes-Alpes, on which is partially implanted the famous Serre Chevalier resort.
It was built in 1536 (the date is engraved on a paneling of the choir). The high windows and the roof were rebuilt after a fire in 1725. Slightly revised in 1845, the church was also decorated with paintings on the grounds neoclassical in 1865.
The building is protected as historical monuments in particular because of its bell tower. It has also many classified objects (reliquaries statues, altar, baptismal fonts, tables, carved group evoking Saint Michel, chalices, vestments, processional cross...).
