Located in the municipality of Saint-Amand-de-Coly, in the Dordogne, the castle of La Grande Filolie is now listed as a Historical Monument.
Privately owned, it takes its name from an old oil mill formerly installed on the surrounding stream. Built in the 15th century and modified in the 17th century, it was for a long time the property of a family of "dress" of Montignac. The building reveals roofs covered with lauzes, as well as towers machicolations. One can admire the small north-east building, the oldest part, the vast vaulted cellar built in the early seventeenth century, or the chapel of St. Mary of the Conception of the same era.
The whole is visible from the outside but can not be visited.
