Rochefort-sur-Nenon

Fortified village, Rochefort-sur-Nenon kept a large number of monuments dating from the Middle Ages and the centuries that followed.

Vestiges of the old village fortifications run through different areas of the site, reflecting the defensive aspects of Rochefort-sur-Nenon once. Visitors can discover in particular the fortified gate of the bridge, and a dungeon.

Walking through the village, we also discover beautiful houses of the fifteenth century and a church rebuilt in the late eighteenth century, and the Chapel of Our Lady of Consolation dating from the fifteenth century. The

Rochefort-sur-Nenon natural heritage is ideal for outdoor activities. Thus, on the banks of the Doubs in particular, it is possible to do some fishing, or to make hiking or mountain biking in the forest of Chaux, reached by crossing the bridges of the village. The

rock cliffs, ideal for climbing, overlooking the village and offer splendid views. Part clear day it is possible to see the Mont Blanc. To get there, you have to go by the Maid of Saut du Rocher.

Rochefort-sur-Nenon offers a flea market in the summer.

In July the village celebrates its patron saint with different animations.
