Labeled Musée de France, the Dolder museum takes place at Riquewihr, in the heart of Haut-Rhin. Overlooking the Alsatian city, the 13th century building houses an original museum which traces the history of the town from the 12th to the 17th century. Installed in the emblematic tower of the medieval city which served as a defensive door and a belfry, it presents in particular the passive defense means of Riquewihr, the active defense means and the various trades of the former occupants of the tower. From the fourth floor, visitors also enjoy a breathtaking view of the Alsace plain and the city.
The Dolder Museum is open to visitors or with the help of audio guides available in various languages.
