Listed as an historic monument, the Tourasse de Rieux-Volvestre, in Haute-Garonne, is an old tower which has now partly disappeared. Used as a common house until the Revolution, this 14th century building later became a remand and cinema until the Second World War.
Rectangular in plan, the Tourasse consists of two floors with a portal with a curvilinear pediment and 18th century brick pilasters. On the first floor, passing visitors can admire four bays framed with bricks and galfonières.
In the 2010s, the building regained its cultural activity with the organization, in August, of a regional theater festival.
