Common green Provence, in the Var, Rians takes place between Manosque and Saint-Maximin, on the borders of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Vaucluse and Bouches-du-Rhone. It is located about eighty kilometers from Toulon, not far from the massif of Sainte-Baume and the Sainte-Victoire mountain.
Occupied since prehistoric times, the site was invaded by the Celto-Ligurians, before becoming an important Roman villa turned towards agriculture and viticulture. Fortified village in the Middle Ages, the town of Rians develops gradually to take the face we know today.
Renowned for its wines, like the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, the city of Rians is also appreciated by tourists for its architectural heritage and its proximity to some of the most beautiful cities of Provence.
