In the Middle Ages, the first mention of the castrum of Razengues dates back to 1277. In the texts of the time, Razengues is designated successively as a castrum and then as a bastide. It therefore seems that we are here in the presence of a village whose foundation is linked to the will of a lord. In the 13th century, Razengues was attached to the barony of L'Isle. After having passed into the possession of the Armagnacs, then between the various hands, Razengues ends up being the stronghold of the Albis family.
