At the Portes du Finistère Sud, Quimperlé takes the stage; nestled at the meeting of its three rivers, the Isole, the Ellé and the Laïta, at the foot of its hills which, like watchtowers, protect the historic district.
The decor delights the viewer but the scene is intimate, Quimperlé is revealed step by step, from cobbled streets to footbridges and stone stairs to its abbey church.
Quimperlé wears two headdresses that of the upper and that of the lower town, that of tradition and that of avant-gardism. Echoing the melodious sounds of her bagad, Bagad bro, she responds to numerous Contemporary Art exhibitions.
Labeled Historic City.
