Abbey Church of the eleventh century, the church of St. Mary is a religious building in the Romanesque Languedoc classified historical monument. The building has undergone many changes in the 13th and 18th centuries, and today reveals beautiful facades in stone and an irregular tile-covered unit. You will appreciate its octagonal spire bell tower and the Lombard Romanesque chevet, before entering the interior via a 12th century porch that was heavily modified five centuries later. Take time to admire the two original lobe altars (eleventh century), marble altar tables adorned with horseshoe arches.

While strolling in the commune, you will be able to admire the remains of the old fortifications of the old village, the crosses or the castle of Saliès, cradle of the Viennet family which still serves today as a vineyard.

Lovers of fine wines will also be able to push the doors of the Château de Roueïre at the end of the 19th century or the Domaine de l'Étang Fages, whose wine has received numerous awards.

The Municipal Archaeological Museum is an opportunity to discover beautiful collections of remains found in the area and to trace the history of Quarante.

Be sure to visit the Bollée Windmill at Roueïre Castle. Built in the late nineteenth century, it is now listed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments, and the heritage of the twentieth century.
