Small village in Saône-et-Loire, Pruzilly is located on the edge of the Rhône department, not far from Saint-Amour-Bellevie or Juliénas, about fifteen kilometers from Mâcon.
A rural commune located on the wine route, Pruzilly distinguished itself in the first half of the 19th century by hosting one of the Chappe de Saône-et-Loire telegraph stations. The village also owes its fame to its production of Mâcon-Villages, an AOC white wine from the Mâconnais vineyard.
