• When you pass through Poyanne, you see it, tall and proud, but what's it doing there ? Marie-Claire has been fascinated by the history of this château since childhood. From the outside, in the gardens, she'll introduce you to its architectural features and the story of its construction and the Baylenx family. She'll tell you about its unexpected functions (field hospital, Benedictine monastery, hiding place for Belgian archives during the German occupation, etc.). The interior of the château is not open to visitors, but Marie-Claire will show you some photographs.
