Located 12 km northwest of Vesoul, the "Green City" Port-sur-Saône is a charming little town of 3050 inhabitants, capital of Canton, at the intersection of Highway 19 Paris-Basle and Saone.

The two dominant colors of the city are the blue waters of the Saône and the side channel and the green forest covering 500 ha and have various species of trees, some quite rare.

The city offers many and varied activities in a natural and historical, making a cultural city, dynamic and sporty.

Things to see and do

Port-sur-Saône contains many attractions and curiosities: the Gallo-Roman, a former 16th century priory, the bridge of the 18th century, the church of Saint Etienne 1782/1787 classified the chapel of Saint Valerius of 1845, completely renovated, the mill 1529, rebuilt in 1743, now home, 2nd mill of France at the time of its activity, finally washing, fountains and crucifixes, and the murals of Human Rights and Old Port-sur-Saône.

Port-sur-Saône is a real tourist hub. River tourism plays a crucial role: a marina has been constructed and expanded. It makes docking easy access to all amenities and boat rentals.

Many other leisure activities can rejuvenate a wonderful recreation area flooded surroundings where everyone will find his account: fishing, hunting, canoeing, cycling, mountain biking, tennis, horseback riding and hiking, sports.

Events and festivities

The City holds regular events including exhibitions, music festival, concerts and performances in the theater Saônexpo.

The year culminated in August with the International Folklore Festival of Fame Regional that gets every year a great success: nearly 10 nations around the world come to present their folklore and culture in entertainment, concerts, conferences and meal Typical.

During the summer months, the town offers cultural and sporting festivities every night of the week (bingo, bowls, horse riding, walking, dance, music).
