Commune wet by the lake of Pont, Pont-et-Massène takes place in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, in the department of the Côte-d'Or. Peuplé of barely 200 inhabitants, this charming village is located to the south of Semur-en-Auxois, a medieval city very touristic of the area.
Known as the second smallest town in France, the village of Pont-et-Massène was once a hamlet in the parish of Saint Euphrone. It was not until the end of the nineteenth century and the project of reservoir dam on the Armançon that the small village without school and without church finally developed.
Today, this Côte-d'Or district boasts an important tourist attraction, notably thanks to its nautical leisure base which attracts many visitors throughout the year. Its proximity to some of the most beautiful sites in the region also ensures regular attendance.
