On the heights of the Lot valley, in Aveyron, the castle of Pomayrols is a former 11th century fortified castle transformed in the 15th century. Partly razed during the events of the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century, it now houses in one of its preserved rooms a mini-museum which presents an incredible collection of agricultural tools from the past. From the original building, you can still admire the castle with its two towers, still proudly testifying to the rich history of Haut-Rouergue.
It is only accessible by reservation, from mid-June to mid-September.
