And it is the monuments precisely that open the walk in Plozévet. The city, full of history, has a remarkable parish church inscribed on the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments. The building, dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, has an absolutely splendid Gothic bell tower. It houses many sculptures, including Saint Demet as a bishop. It also has a fountain, the fountain of Saint Theleau. According to legend, its water heals fevers. A little outside the city, the Chapel Trinità, also classified as Historical Monuments, has extremely rich furniture dating from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The chapel of Saint-Renan is surrounded by mystery. Indeed, right next to the chapel is a sarcophagus in which Ronan himself would be buried. At six kilometers from the village, the chapel of Saint-Demet of the sixteenth century stands in the middle of the countryside. When you enter inside, you will discover the grave of a farrier with his tools. Seven well-preserved Calvaries are present on the commune. You will be able to see them during your walks.
On the shore you will certainly notice this stone engraved with various names. It is the Menhir of the Human Rights in memory of the eponymous boat which sank after a battle against the English and carried with it under the waves, the life of 650 men. If you want to know more about this tragic event, you can go and see the exhibition of the ship Human Rights.
You will also be able to see a local curiosity: the ovens with seaweed, these trenches dug in the soil in order to extract the seaweed.
The monument The Sonners is as remarkable as the statue of the Virgin.
Finally, the ocean invites you to relax on its beaches or on the rocky points. Put on your pants, put on your boots and head to the beach for fishing. Your bucket will soon fill with shells.
