Located between land and sea, the town of Plouider takes place in the heart of Finistère, not far from Saint-Meen, Treflez or Lanhouarneau.
Originally a parish of primitive Armorica founded in the 6th century, the town of Plouider is known for human occupation dating back to prehistoric times. Agricultural city centered on the cultivation of cereals and flax as well as on breeding in the 18th century, it experienced a new boom at the end of the following century with the arrival of the railway and the Landerneau - Plounéour-Trez line.
Plouider is now a popular vacation spot, especially for its hiking trails by the sea or for its traditional architectural heritage.
