A hundred meters from the Perpignan station, the doors of the Contemporary Art Center are opening up to the center of the world. In a renovated and transfigured warehouse, the old wood beams, the glass and the metal of today are merged in an original contrast.
Over 1,200 m² of exhibition space, imposing spaces or more intimate volumes are organized on several levels, banishing the monotony and offering to the visitor's eye escapades on the exhibited works as well as on the structure itself. The former shipping depot becomes exhibition hangar.
Created at the start of a private initiative and established as an association under the 1901 law of general interest, the center of the world since its creation in 2004, aims to bring contemporary art closer to the public in an emblematic space.
With the painting for keystone, ACMCM seeks to highlight cross-views of French artists and all countries, mainly European, through group exhibitions, retrospectives and other individual exhibitions.
