Located in the municipality of Périgueux, Dordogne, the Military Museum - Memories of Périgord was established in the early twentieth century to house the numerous military mementoes by Périgourdins over their campaigns. These collections of objects related to the daily lives of soldiers or weapons made of different regiments.
Visitors here find objects relating to the First and Second World War, the Indochina War, the war in Algeria or the more recent conflict in the former Yugoslavia and the Gulf War.
In total, more than 12 000 atypical or rare items that are offered to visitors.
