Small borough of Ardeche region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Peaugres takes place a hundred kilometers from Privas between annonéen basin and the Rhone basin. It is located near Saint-Cyr, and Peyraud Davezieux.

Former Prologus was inhabited since the Gallo-Roman, as evidenced by the remains found on site. It was not until the thirteenth century to find traces of a real village, including through the establishment of a priory headed by Benedictines of Cluny. Over the centuries, the town of Peaugres gradually took its current pace, enticing visitors with its authentic look and charm.

Dynamic, the town also has a rich architectural and historical heritage to discover during a stay in the area.

Things to see and do

Walking through the village of Peaugres you can enjoy his church or his castle Montanet laid the twentieth century and in the 1970s became the seat of the Safari Park. The latter opened by Viscount Paul de la Panouse, also creator of the Zoo Thoiry, spans over eighty hectares. It features animals distributed in different spaces representing the African plains or the North American forest. The park also has a greenhouse, a picnic area, underground or children's playgrounds. In total, more than 1,000 animals, almost 130 different species, which you can see the time of day, from early February to mid-November.

Close to the old, the farm offers Tiallou discover the old life in the region, including exhibitions of objects on traditional agriculture or even farm animals.

Be sure not to go into space to explore the natural environment that spans over six hectares, or admire the laundries and crosses that dot the town.
