Covered passage of the 3rd district of Paris, the Vendôme passage is located between the place of the Republic and the street Beranger. Fifty-seven meters long, it is now listed as a Historic Monument.
Built in 1827, it originally linked the Boulevard du Temple to Carreau du Temple, near boulevard theaters. Despite an elegant architecture, he did not meet with success and remained uncrowded, especially during the work of Paris Baron Haussmann. Open all week, it was the subject of a renovation campaign in 2005. The windows were restored, and the cornices and paintings of the storefronts were completely redone.
