At the heart of the famous Marais district, the mansions of Guénégaud (17th century) and Mongelas (18th century) house the Museum of Hunting and Nature, which contains collections belonging to the Foundation of the House of Hunting and Nature.

Reopened in 2007 after extensive renovation and extension work, this private museum has collections of ancient, modern and contemporary art that chart the changing relationship between humankind and animal from Antiquity to the present day. More than 5,000 works, listed as "national treasures" by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, await visitors, ranging from painting to sculpture through graphic arts, tapestry, furniture, art objects, ancient weapons and stuffed animals.

This original and exciting museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, workshops, lectures and symposiums!
