Located at the border between the 4th and 12th arrondissement of Paris, the marina of Arsenal connects the canal Saint-Martin to the Seine between the quai de la Rapée and Place de la Bastille. Once a port of merchandise, he found himself dedicated to sailing since the early 1980s.
The site takes its name from an arsenal that took place here between the sixteenth and nineteenth century. The latter was intended to strengthen the defenses of the capital before seeing its basin dug and filled with water following the fall of the Bastille during the French Revolution.
Today, the marina of Arsenal has 177 berths, and sees on its banks the development of the park Rives-de-Seine.
