Small village of Oise, in the heart of Picardy, Paillart takes place about thirty kilometers from Beauvais and Amiens and their famous cathedrals. Crossed by the meridian of Paris materialized by the green meridian, it is not far from La Faloise or Ailly-sur-Noye.
The town, very old, dates back to the time of the Celts and developed under the aegis Gallo-Roman. Tranquil in history, she has forged the face we know today over the centuries. Paillart has become a hotspot for tourism in the Hauts-de-France, especially for its architectural and natural heritage of quality.

Built between the fifteenth and sixteenth century, the church of Saint-Denis is a religious building now classified as an historic monument. Mainly flamboyant Gothic style, however, it reveals a beautiful carved portal Renaissance style. Inside, several windows were classified as objects and date from the sixteenth and nineteenth century. These last ones represent in particular the Crucifixion, Saint Marguerite or the Baptism of Christ. The building also seduces with its polygonal choir vaulted ribs pendants and its side tower to the choir.
Paillart has a rich religious heritage that is also revealed through the chapels of Notre-Dame-de-la-Bonne-Mort, Saint-Lugle or Saint-Slyvain. As you stroll through the village, you will also be seduced by the beautiful half-timbered houses of the sixteenth century that take place opposite the church of Saint-Denis and reflect the rich history of the city.
To enjoy the sun and the atmosphere, do not hesitate to go to the Moulin Ventin garden. Classified Remarkable Garden and Parks and Gardens of Picardy, it is constituted of numerous English massifs mixed with exceptional trees, perennials, roses or even aquatic plants. The whole extends over nearly two hectares around a charming little mill. Omnipresent, the water is presented in the form of waterfalls, ponds or paths.
Several hiking trails or mountain bike cross the city, like the GR124 "In the Amiénois", which crosses Paillart and the Domaine de Vésigneux. It is also possible to practice on-site paintball, small game hunting or fishing.
