Listed as an historic monument for its Romanesque apse, the Saint-Pierre church of Osséja, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, was erected in the 12th century on the remains of an older building. Redesigned in the 14th century and then rebuilt at the end of the 19th century, it presents elements from different eras.
Visitors can thus discover a Roman-style rubble bedside table. The latter is surmounted by a bevelled cornice with a double-splayed window and small columns with carved capitals.
On the right side of the nave, a vaulted side chapel presents older elements which probably date from the 14th century.
