Located at the bottom of the valley Noble Osenbach is a small town set in a natural attractiveness. It enjoys a splendid view of the Petit and Grand Ball. Osenbach named after the creek that originates there. A noble family was named after the place and had to shield an ox head.

The village was once best known for its silver mines of copper and operated from 1498 to 1850 by the Bishop of Strasbourg had the right of mine who hired them out to various companies.
