Noisiel, one of France's Towns of Art and History, lies in the Marne valley, 25km east of Paris. It boasts many places of interest dating from the 19th century, including the old Menier chocolate factory (not open to the public), which comprises a building known as the "Cathedral", Saulnier mill, the former workers' housing estate and Buisson farm, today an arts and cultural centre.
Noisiel is also home to a huge landscaped park that's a lovely place for a walk.
