The Chapel of Our Lady of Carmès built in the late fifteenth century is notable for its painted paneling. The painted vault eighteenth covers the entire nave of its rich decoration depicting the life of Christ in an architectural and garland trompe l'oeil motifs. The discovery of the fifteenth paneling during the restoration in 1983 was a revelation. These paneling kept in perfect condition are exposed on the first floor of the sacristy, arranged to receive the support structure. These paneling recount the martyrdom of Catherine of Alexandria and a choir of angels musicians. All of these panels is, to date, the only example of painting on wood dating from the fifteenth, known in Britain.
