Charming little Alsatian village, Natzwiller takes place in the Bas-Rhin, about fifty kilometers from Strasbourg and its sumptuous cathedral. It is located in the heart of the Bruche valley, on the north bank of the Rothaine valley, not far from Barembach, Rothau or Schirmeck.
Barembach parish annex from the Middle Ages to the 17th century, the commune of Natzwiller subsequently gained its independence. It developed thanks to the presence of the forges of Rothau, not far away, which enabled it to gradually take on the face that we know today.
Sadly famous for having hosted the only Nazi concentration camp in France, Natzwiller has become a high place of memory.
