Churches: The three churches of Grandvals, Recoules d'Aubrac and Prinsuejols date from the 12th. The Romanesque church of Grandvals, seat of a former priory of the Chaise Dieu, the priory church of Recoules d'Aubrac and the Romanesque church of Prinsuejols, whose original bell tower was rebuilt after the revolution. The Ste Marie church of Nasbinals was built in the 11th century by the Dômerie d'Aubrac, at the same time as that of Malbouzon, of Romanesque style, whose heart was restored between 1947 and 1950. Finally, Marchastel, the current church dedicated to St. Peter and Romanesque style was built in 1903, replacing an older building built around the sixteenth century.
The small heritage:

The crosses mark the paths of the Aubrac. The cross of the 3 Bishops, located near Aubrac is the symbol of the unity of the plateau. The cross of the Rode was erected by the lords of the Land of Peyre in 1377.
The bridges are also one of the riches of the Romanesque architecture that is omnipresent on the plateau. Among the most famous: bridge of "Plechas", bridge of Gournier, bridge of "Carbonnières"
The bread ovens are one of the jewels of the small patrimony. Some villages have renovated and highlighted them: Grandvals, Marchastel, Usanges, Rieutort d'Aubrac and Recoules d'Aubrac.
Many granite fountains decorate the village centers.
The trades to ferrer, called locally "ferradous" served to shoe the animals. They were usually located near the fountain and the bread oven. Beautiful examples at Rieutort d'Aubrac, Grandvals or Rieutortet.
The burons, built on each mountain of summer, were used for the lodging of the staff of the estive and the manufacture of the tome and the fourme. They opened from May 25 to October 13, from St Urbain to St Géraud. Their construction is characterized by the following features: a very low building, half buried, a lauze roof, a main door and two small windows, a clay floor, a fireplace. The last burons in operation closed a few years ago.

The road of the Lakes (D52) with:

Waterfall of the Droc, Remarkable site. From its 33-meter high, one overlooks the meanders of the stream and at the foot of the waterfall, one can discover a cave overhung by basalt organs.
The lake of the Salhiens stretches over 4 ha, its outlet forms a stream which gives a few meters below the Cascade of the Droc. Its marshy banks make its access difficult and dangerous.
The lake of Souveyrol, the smallest, has the particularity of being surrounded by a carpet of sphagnum (moss forming green cushions filled with water). This constitutes a risk to your safety. This site is also famous for the Siberian Ligular which is a rare and protected plant.
Lake Saint Andéol, it is the largest natural lake. In the Gallo-Roman period, it was the subject of a pagan cult. The inhabitants of Aubrac went there in procession to obtain healing. They threw into the lake of offerings, in order to remove hailstorms from their lands.
Lake Born. The story tells that Francis I had Born Carp Lake filled in thanks in return for services rendered by the monks of Aubrac. Like all the other lakes of Aubrac, Lake Born is a lake of glacial overcrowding.
The Bridge of Negroes. It spans the River Plèches. The trout Fario, which takes on the Aubrac, a dark dress, locally called "negras" is at the origin of the name of the bridge of Negroes. Below, you will observe a basaltic formation similar to that of the Cascade of the Decc. The pavement of basaltic prisms testifies to the past volcanic activity. The leveling of these prisms bears witness to the presence of a glacier more than 10,000 years ago. This site can be reminiscent of the Giant's Causeway in Ireland.

Castle of the Baume in Prinsuéjols. Nicknamed the "small Versailles du Gevaudan", the castle of La Baume surprises by an interior richly decorated inside, former possession of the barony of Peyre.
Hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking - with: GR 65 the way of St Jacques de Compostelle, the Tour of Monts d'Aubrac, the Way of St Guilhem the Desert, the Urban Way V and a multitude of small hikes.
Fer-Cheval station with winter cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowshoeing and sledging and summer tree-climbing park.
Thermal spa of La Chaldette. Located in the heart of the Aubrac in Lozère, La Chaldette is a spa and fitness resort located on the banks of the Bes, 1000 m above sea level. The nature of the water of this spa is recommended in the treatment of digestive and metabolic problems. Its decongestant, laxative and diuretic virtues provide comfort and well-being. Station open from February to November

Angling, exceptional flora and the stag breed attract a large number of visitors each year.
Discover a little further: the park of the Wolves of Gévaudan (Saint Lucia) and the reserve of the Bison of Europe (Sainte-Eulalie).
