Also called Nampont-Saint-Martin, Nampont the town is in the Somme. This small village sits at the boundary between the Pas-de-Calais and the Somme, on the left bank of the Authie, in the district of Abbeville.

Formerly lordship's family Nampont, the village has hosted such a sub Francis assembly of parliamentarians in 1517. Today Nampont is especially appreciated for its historical heritage and for its typical architecture of the region. Recreation it offers, as a unique golf of its kind, also make the success of the Common Nampont.

Located at the crossroads of two departments rich in heritage, the city of Nampont also allows to discover all the main sites of the region.

Things to see and do

The architectural heritage is important to Nampont and it helps to learn a bit more about the history of this town in the Somme.

Fifteenth century castle, the fortified house of Nampont has a polygonal building surrounded by a moat. Severely damaged during World War II, it has undergone extensive renovations. Around two golf courses in the unique landscape of its kind allow to be introduced to famous sports in a hilly and wooded.

The Saint Martin Church and the Church of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin are essential to Nampont. The latter has a campenard or bell tower.

Today private dwelling, a former coaching inn stands along the old national one.

Walking around Nampont, visitors can appreciate the remains of a stone mill, or the Chausséette, part of Marsh Pende.
