Dedicated to the history and archeology of the city, the historical museum of Mulhouse now benefits from the Musée de France label. Installed since the middle of the 19th century in the old town hall in the Rhenish Renaissance style of the 16th century, it allows you to discover the city from prehistory to the present day.
A themed tour puts the town's history into perspective, revealing the way of life of Alsatians of yesteryear through, in particular, traditional costumes, tools, portraits, furniture and even toys. The historical museum of Mulhouse also presents rooms devoted to Alfred Dreyfus, its most famous child, and each year offers the organization of thematic exhibitions, conferences, educational activities and many other activities for young and old.
