Aubusson, beautiful guardian of its art of weaving. The pretty town of Aubusson is known worldwide as the capital of tapestry. From 15th century anonymous to the famous Braque, Le Corbusier, Lurçat, Toffoli… thanks to these artists, the Aubusson tapestry retraces the history of humanity. Six centuries of patience, humility and creativity have made this city the capital of the Basse-Lisse tapestry. The whole chain of trades is represented there: spinner, dyer, weaver, restorer… This secular art is registered in the intangible heritage of UNESCO.

Aubusson, "the beautiful" also offers its guests a welcome and quality visits. Built at the confluence of 5 valleys, from the Gallic and Roman times, Aubusson has an unusual architectural heritage, witness to a rich cultural and historical past.

Felletin, cradle of Tapestry, a secular art classified as an intangible heritage by UNESCO, is also one of the oldest towns in the department of Creuse. Its economic boom in the Middle Ages is attributed in particular to the development of many industries. Flour mills, paper mills, sheet mills, dyeing factories and spinning mills allow the town of Felletin to stand out and contribute to the growth of its region.
