City of Seine-et-Marne, in the Île-de-France region, Mouroux takes place about fifty kilometers from Melun, in the heart of the Grand Morin valley. It is located at the gates of Coulommiers, not far from Chailly-en-Brie, Guérard or La Celle-sur-Morin.
Occupied since the Paleolithic, as evidenced by the remains found on site, the municipality of Mouroux developed mainly in the Middle Ages, in particular with the foundation of its church in the 13th century. Marked by the many wars that have affected this French region, the Ile-de-France city has nonetheless retained a certain charm to be discovered during a stay in the surroundings.
This agricultural land, which made the heyday of Ile-de-France dishes, continues to attract passing visitors through its architectural and above all natural heritage.
