Charming town of Seine-et-Marne, in the Île-de-France region, Mormant takes place about twenty kilometers from Melun, at the eastern limit of French Brie. Located a hundred meters above sea level, it is near Saint-Ouen-en-Brie, Argentières and Champeaux.
Of ancient origin, the city of Mormant became famous at the beginning of the 19th century, at the end of the Napoleonic epic, with the famous battle of Mormant which saw the victory of French troops over the Russians and the Bavarians. This is one of the Emperor's last victories in the Campaign of France. Rural, the town is also known for its agricultural activity of great importance.
